During the Pandemic, the rise of addiction to prescription drugs along with OTC drugs has become an alarming call to arms. The work discusses the opioid epidemic causing the rise of opioid deaths nationally and my three-year-long trial and error phase with the VA of finding the right pills that work well for me right after being medically discharged with PTSD and severe depression from the US Army. It is the idea of a dependence on faith-based medication that claims to help veterans. At the same time, the nation's tabloids reveal the death toll and suffering from the opioid epidemic.
